Marlee Napurano
Verbal SAT Curriculum Design,

After graduating from the Ranney School, Marlee earned her BA in English at Yale University, with a focus on 16th and 17th Century sacred literature.  She has run SAT Verbal programs for national and local companies throughout New York and New Jersey, and has taught American Literature at the Delbarton School.  Marlee is a member of the Yale Alumni Schools Committee for which she conducts Yale admissions interviews, and also currently serves as the Secretary of the Association of Yale Alumni of Monmouth & Ocean Counties.  She has an album on iTunes to show for her years as a professional singer/songwriter.  



Matthew Makrinos 
Math SAT Curriculum Design, PSAT, SSAT, ACT, GRE, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus & Subject Tutoring 

Since his time at CBA, Matthew graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, and developed his unique approach to problem solving while designing learning analyses and curricula for major test consulting firms.  Matthew can be seen on his drum kit in his jazz group, Deftet, in fine establishments throughout the New Jersey Shore or on his surfboard at the beach.

We joined forces to bring students the best in Math and English instruction with our thoughtful, laid-back style.  Through conversation we analyze grade performance, personality, and goals to formulate a program of study tailored to each student we teach.

Alli Candelmo

Math SAT, PSAT, ACT, Chemistry, Biology, Algebra & Geometry Tutoring

Alli has a BA in Chemistry from Rutgers College and is in the final year of pursuing her PhD in Marine Ecology & Ecotoxicology, also at Rutgers University.  Alli spent a year in Malaysia researching coral reef biodiversity and the toxicity of oil dispersants, and has also run manta ray telemetry projects in Hawaii and the Gulf of Mexico.  She has been a TA for Biology at Rutgers and has, for the past three years, worked on a National Science Foundation fellowship, developing and teaching hands-on science activities for GK-12 classrooms. 


Daniel Sozomenu

Verbal & Math SAT, PSAT, ACT, English & Writing Tutoring

After graduating from CBA, Daniel earned a BA from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA, double majoring in Journalism/Mass Communications and Sociology/Anthropology. Daniel has also been a magazine editor, a martial artist, and a DJ and currently works in radio and with prominent urban music artists in a number of capacities.


Richard Berger  

Verbal SAT, PSAT, ACT, GRE, Verbal & Math SSAT, Subject Tutoring 

Richard is an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.  A commission-based fine artist, he has studied extensively in Florence, Italy. His focus is painting and drawing with a traditional basis of perception, craft, and allegory. Many of his paintings are included in private and public collections in the United States and Europe with exhibits in numerous states. Richard has taught at the Philadelphia Museum of Art as well as several schools in Monmouth County, NJ.

Andrea Goldman

Math & Verbal P/SAT, SSAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, Subject Tutoring

After graduating from RBR, Andrea earned a BS in Communication and Rhetorical Studies from Syracuse University, where she developed a passion for tutoring by helping members of the men's basketball team.  Fresh from Syracuse, Andrea brought her enthusiasm for teaching math to Wavelength.  In 2005, Andrea left New Jersey to pursue a legal career in Pittsburgh where her passion for editing led one judge to nickname her "the beast with the red pen."  Andrea also has experience teaching students with learning disabilities and processing disorders.  Having recently returned to the Shore, Andrea is thrilled to be back home at Wavelength.  In her free time, Andrea enjoys traveling, big dogs, college basketball, and, especially, driving.  


Kevin Francolini
Verbal P/SAT, AP Prep, Writing & Subject Tutoring
Kevin, a CBA alumnus, recently graduated from Georgetown University with a BA in both History and English. Kevin has also studied theology and is fluent in German. While at Georgetown, he was a four-year Varsity coxswain for Men's Lightweight Crew and helped lead the team to national and international success, including a bronze-medal at the Eastern Sprints and victories at the Henley Royal Regatta in England. Kevin plans to return to grad school for advanced degrees in History, but currently is Assistant Coach of CBA Crew and a sommelier de la bière, where he pairs foods with artisanal, craft, and import beers.
